James Vogel, MA, CAGS, LCSW
Founder and Executive Director
Jim has been in the human services field for over 44 years. Prior to co-founding Wellspring Farm Learning Center with his wife Holly, he served as the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind’s Regional Director for the Southeast. He worked in various capacities for the commission for 32 years. As Regional Director, he was responsible for administering and directing a full array of social and rehabilitation services for more than 8,000 legally blind consumers.
Jim also co-founded JACOVO, a private consulting firm developed to assist attorneys with the adjudication of acquired disabilities and their impact on family, employment and life skill capacities.
He brings a variety of administrative, counseling and business experience to Wellspring Farm Learning Center which he manages with his wife and co-founder Holly Vogel. They have two lovely daughters and four beautiful grandchildren who fulfill their lives. Jim is an avid runner and has completed several marathons. He holds an MA and CAGS Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Assumption College.
Holly Vogel
Owner and Co-Founder
Before co-founding Wellspring Farm Learning Center, Holly was a tenured teacher in the Worcester Public schools and she developed instructional curriculums for special needs children. Over the years, she founded several businesses including a private practice focusing on musical education.
Prior to that, she was the owner of Hollyberry’s Restaurant in Bourne MA where in six short months she won the coveted title “Best Restaurant” in the upper Cape, a title she maintained for three years in a row.
At Wellspring Farm Learning Center, Holly oversees all activities and management of the business, from fiscal to property maintenance to public relations. She is an animal lover and a marathon runner (a Boston qualifier) who has won several 1st place titles her category.
She is an avid boater who was elected to be the first woman Commander in history of the Buzzards Bay Power Squadron.
Holly holds a Bachelor Degree in Music Education and has completed graduate studies in rehabilitation counseling from Assumption College, in Worcester, MA.
Founded in 2000, Wellspring Farm Learning Center offers a wide range of mental, behavioral, and rehabilitative health services to both children and adults in a pristine outdoor setting. Our holistic, experiential approach to mental health therapy enables participants to strengthen life skills, engage in healing and absorb counseling and other treatments in a non-traditional setting.
Directors
Gretchen Sullivan, MA, LMHC
Assistant Executive Director/Clinic Director/Clinical Therapist
Gretchen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. She has more than 17 years of experience counseling children, adolescents and adults utilizing cognitive behavioral, holistic, play, supportive, experiential and relaxation therapies. Gretchen specializes in the treatment of PTSD, acute stress disorder and anxiety utilizing EMDR. She also works with parents in developing effective parenting skills. Her practice utilizes holistic and traditional modalities to treat the person as a whole (physical, social, mental). Gretchen is also a Reiki Master and incorporates other natural healing modalities as requested. She is married with three beautiful children and enjoys running, yoga and spending time with her family, friends and pets. Gretchen has a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Assumption College in Worcester, MA.
Matt Sullivan
Operations Manager
Matt is the Operations Manager and oversees and directs the physical and technical functions of the center as a whole. He is responsible for marketing Wellspring’s programs and coordinates public service announcements and other publicity activities. Matt has had extensive experience with hospice both on the administrative and family side. He has 15 years of sales and business management experience and spent many of those years in sales and management. Prior to that, Matt was in the pharmaceutical sales industry. He is a father of three who enjoys spending time with family and friends, running and playing lacrosse. He is a graduate of Assumption College.
